Meet us in Prague
Saturday, May 19, 2012Prague, Czech Republic
Interested in a Music and Markets Tour? We'd love to hear from you!
Join us on a summer tour on the Amalfi Coast, in Provence, or
our featured (and expanded!) 2012 Amsterdam/Belgium tour!
"Meet me by the horse's tail" is often heard in Prague - speaking of
this steed, King Wenceslas atop, on the square named after the Good
King. It's actually not a square, but a loooong rectangle, lined by boutiques, department stores, hotels and restaurants.
Down the pedestrianized center there are more places to grab a bite, such as this tram- café. See that Illy sign? Those of you who have traveled with us know that Kirk's an Illy coffee fan, and he's found more Illy spots here than any other city, even in Italy, the home of the brand. I think there's at least one on every block!Right on schedule, our Music and Markets guests arrive at the hotel in the early afternoon - luggage and all. Isn't it great when the flights are smooth, on time, and both you AND your luggage arrive?!
After they settle into their room, we head out for an orientation walk in old Prague.
Even before we enter Old Town Square we can hear that it's filled with an enthusiastic crowd. The Czech team is in the Ice Hockey playoffs, and flag-waving crowds stand watching the game on a huge screen in the historic square. For the rest of the day we'll hear CESKY CESKY cries as celebrating locals cheer through the streets.
We get off the beaten track, pointing out story-filled spots on a quiet lane,

showing off some more of Prague's beauty.
A late afternoon nap refreshes our guests, and we walk across the river to show off more of Prague before enjoying a delicious dinner in the Aladdin's cave magic of the Alchymist restaurant.
Welcome to Music and Market's Prague Spring!
Labels: Prague Alchymist Restaurant, Prague Spring Festival, Wenceslas Square
